At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a\u00a0judge ordered a prison sentence against Leonel Aldacir Rada Gil, alias Sargento, who is believed to be the second-in-command of the criminal group \u2018Los Zorros II\u2019 which operates in Bogot\u00e1 and Soacha (Cundinamarca).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rada Gil was arrested by the National Police on July 4 of this year in Villeta (Cundinamarca) and charged with criminal conspiracy and\u00a0homicide (both aggravated); manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of narcotics; and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alias Sargento is apparently the author of five homicides in Soacha (Cundinamarca) between 2023 and 2024. He is also allegedly responsible for bringing narcotics from Medell\u00edn to sell them in different areas of Soacha and Bogot\u00e1. It is estimated that the illicit profits obtained through the illegal activities of Los Zorros exceed 2000 million COP annually.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The members of this criminal organization are allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of bazuco, cocaine, and marijuana, through fixed locations and addresses in Los Olivos, La Mar\u00eda, and La Demencia neighborhoods of \u2018Comuna 3\u2019\u00a0Le\u00f3n XIII, and \u2018Comuna 4\u2019 Cazuc\u00e1 in Soacha; and Patio Bonito, El Amparo, and Corabastos neighborhoods in Bogot\u00e1.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another 11 alleged members of the aforementioned criminal group have been prosecuted.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
