\u00a0These individuals recruited young women in Medell\u00edn with false promises of\u00a0employment,\u00a0who later became victims of this network operating in Europe.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Due to the evidence obtained by the Attorney General’s Office, Juan David Ceballos Madrid and Paola Andrea Acevedo Garc\u00eda pleaded\u00a0guilty\u00a0to\u00a0sexual exploitation of young Colombian women in Greece through a preliminary agreement.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A judge approved the plea bargain and sentenced them to 6 years and 7 months in prison for human trafficking. Ceballos Madrid was also sentenced for the crimes of trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics; and trafficking, manufacturing, and possession of firearms.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>investigations<\/span>\u00a0allowed to<\/span> establish<\/span> that these individuals <\/span>were responsible for<\/span> contacting women <\/span>facing <\/span>financial difficulties and in vulnerable <\/span>circumstances <\/span>in Medell\u00edn (Antioquia<\/span>), and<\/span> offering them f<\/span>raudulent<\/span> job o<\/span>pportunities<\/span> in restaurants and public <\/span>establishments<\/span> in <\/span>this <\/span>European<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>country<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon their arrival at the destination, victims were deprived of their personal identification documents, confined, and informed about an alleged debt ranging from 3,400 to 3,600 euros purportedly due to tickets, accommodation, and food. These funds had to be paid by victims by engaging in sexual activities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General linked the complaints filed by nine women between 2023 and 2024, who were contacted by the now convicted men and who, through deception, they became victims of this sexual exploitation network.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
