The Directorate Specialized in the fight against drug trafficking, in conjunction with the National Police’s Anti-Narcotics Directorate (<\/span>Direcci\u00f3n de Antinarc\u00f3ticos de la Polic\u00eda Nacional (DIRAN)<\/span>), arrested for extradition purposes, Carlos Andr\u00e9s Rueda Ip\u00eda, alias Indio, an alleged member of a transnational network involved in the shipping of narcotics to the United States and Spain.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation conducted by the Attorney\u00a0General’s\u00a0Office, alias Indio is allegedly responsible for processing cocaine hydrochloride in a laboratory located in El Plateado (Cauca) and the main investor of cocaine shipments using containers dispatched from the ports of Barranquilla (Atl\u00e1ntico).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is also the alleged responsible for the creation and operation of an extensive land logistics network to move the hallucinogen within the country before its exportation, which places him as a key element in the distribution network of this criminal organization.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, Rueda Ip\u00eda is wanted by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan for crimes related to conspiracy to commit crimes and trafficking <\/span>in<\/span> illicit substances.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigations led to the identification of \u2018Indio\u2019 at a property located in a sector of Bocagrande, in Cartagena (Bol\u00edvar).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
