The investigations carried out by the Attorney General’s Office led to the prosecution of six alleged members of a criminal group known as Los de la Ch, who would be allegedly involved in the\u00a0commission\u00a0of selective homicides and violent robberies in Cali (Valle del Cauca).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The people allegedly involved are:<\/span> Kevin Jhonson Micolta Angulo, alias Micolta; Elen Juliana Micolta Angulo, alias La Ingeniera; Yasm\u00edn Alejandra G\u00f3mez Otero, alias Yazm\u00edn; Braian Steven Viveros, Duvan Andr\u00e9s Gaviria Granja and Edgar Fernando Arango Toledo <\/span>who were charged,\u00a0according to\u00a0their individual responsibility, with conspiracy to commit a crime, aggravated homicide, qualified and aggravated theft; manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition; and using minors to commit crimes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendants allegedly conspired, between January and May 2025, to attack individuals for having territorial control in Sucre and San Pascual neighborhoods of <\/span>Comuna 3<\/span><\/i>, in the eastern area of the city. They are considered responsible for at least 10 homicides.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, the alleged members of \u2018Los de la Ch\u2019 gang were allegedly involved in robberies against people who withdrew millionaire\u00a0amounts\u00a0from banks and who were chosen\u00a0by two of the defendants, Upon leaving, they were beaten and robbed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In other cases, customers were followed on motorcycles and in vehicles by the alleged robbers and were intercepted on public streets to rob their briefcases containing the withdrawn money. On other occasions, when the victims resisted, they were shot, causing them serious injuries.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigation established that, in the first half of this year, 287 million pesos were allegedly stolen through *<\/strong>‘fleteo\u2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During nine search warrants, officers of\u00a0Sijin – National Police arrested five of the defendants by virtue of a court order and a woman in flagrante delicto. During the operations, two firearms, ammunition, five cell phones, cash, and two motorcycles were seized.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By order of a supervisory judge, five of the defendants must serve a prison sentence. Arango Toledo, for his part, must serve home confinement. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
