Alias \u200b\u200bCangrejo and Casarrubia were apparently finalizing details to shoot the officers in a public area in Monter\u00eda as part of the so-called \u2018plan pistola\u2019 (pistol plan) ordered by the illegal armed group.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Attorney General’s Office presented evidence before a judge that proved the alleged participation of Samuel Dar\u00edo Arcia, alias Cangrejo, and David Alberto Pacheco L\u00f3pez, alias Casarrubia, in planning an armed attack against two members of the National Police in Monter\u00eda (C\u00f3rdoba).<\/span><\/p>\n

Both men, who are alleged members of Javier Yepes Cantero substructure of the so-called \u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019 were arrested in flagrante, in a public road in Santander neighborhood, looking for two specific officers.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the procedure carried out by Gaula and Sijin of the National Police, one of the defendants attempted to escape but he was subdued. Two revolvers, 12 cartridges (32 and 38 millimeter caliber), and evidence implicating them in the so-called \u2018plan pistola\u2019, promoted by the illegal armed group against law enforcement, were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n

For these events, a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Criminal Organizations charged them with manufacturing, trafficking, or possessing firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition. They did not plead guilty to the charges. A judge ordered a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both defendants had outstanding convictions for aggravated criminal conspiracy. Alias \u200b\u200bCasarubia had recently been granted parole.<\/span><\/p>\n
