They were sent to prison.<\/i><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After assessing the evidence presented by the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, a judge imposed a <strong>prison sentence on 15 alleged members of the criminal organization known as \u2018Tren de Aragua\u2019.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Bogot\u00e1 (Seccional Bogot\u00e1) charged them, based on individual responsibilities, <strong>with aggravated criminal conspiracy, aggravated homicide, attempted homicide, terrorism, extortion<\/strong>; trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics; manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms; manufacturing, trafficking, and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use, for the exclusive use of the Security Forces, or explosives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The arrests of these 14 individuals were conducted during a home search in Bosa and Kennedy<\/strong>. Three firearms, 73 cartridges, a bulletproof vest, and several doses of narcotics were seized during the proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the prosecuted people is a foreign citizen that would be the main coordinator behind the violent acts and petty drug dealing that take place in southern area of Bogot\u00e1. They are: <strong>Osmer Josu\u00e9 Castillo Urbaneja, alias Osmer, his trustworthy men Wilfredo Jos\u00e9 Romero Chirinos, alias Rat\u00f3n, and V\u00edctor Manuel L\u00f3pez Garc\u00eda, alias Shakil.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alias \u200b\u200bOsmer is serving a prison sentence. It is believed that from that place he ordered the grenade attack against two police officers, which occurred on September 10, 2024, in Llano Grande area in \u200b\u200bKennedy. <strong>As a result, one woman died and nine people were injured, including both officers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are also accused of the violent death of a man in the same area on September 27, 2023, due to so-called settling of scores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evidence indicates that they allegedly forced stores owners in the south of the city to sell narcotics in their businesses amid death threats. They also determined who could engage in economic activity and how they could do so in El Amparo, Mar\u00eda Paz, Llano Grande, Patio Bonito, San Jos\u00e9, San Bernardino, and Villa Ema neighborhoods with previous payments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other defendants are: Alexander Antonio Chac\u00f3n Montero, alias Chac\u00f3n; Gilberto Manuel Rodr\u00edguez Vallez, alias Manuel; Frans Charityn Castellanos Mendoza, alias Franchezca; Jos\u00e9 Gustavo Carvajal Bravo, alias Junior; Jos\u00e9 del Carmen Aranguren Torres, Pelon; Leidy Sof\u00eda Cuenca Vigoya, alias La Paisa; Alexander Jos\u00e9 Teran Coronel, alias Neneco; Jhoan Steven Aguirre Pach\u00f3n, alias Steven; Yuneiber Jos\u00e9 Pe\u00f1a Moreno, alias Beyaco; Ronald Luis Armando Mart\u00ednez Agraz, alias Flaco; and Junior Alexander Rojas Pe\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These people would fulfill the roles of sellers, transporters, and collectors of extortions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
