The defendants accepted their responsibility for the offenses that were charged by the Office of the Attorney General.<\/i><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Jorge Alexis Gonz\u00e1lez Guti\u00e9rrez, Juan Diego Ram\u00edrez Barco and Jhon Alejandro Orteg\u00f3n Vidal as alleged perpetrators of homicide and attempted homicide, both aggravated; in addition to manufacturing, trafficking and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use for the exclusive use of the armed forces or explosives. They pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision comes after the Office of the Attorney General found evidence that the defendants apparently participated in the murder of a man and the injuries caused to a police officer. The incident took place on February 25 near a river in the main city of Risaralda.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendants repeatedly shot at a 20-year-old man and a National Police patrolman, assigned to the Dosquebradas Police Station. The crime occurred while both men were in a vehicle that was parked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police officers arrested the suspects a few blocks from the place where the murder took place.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, a judge imposed a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n
