A prosecutor appointed to the Directorate specialized in the fight against Drug Trafficking charged them with trafficking, manufacturing or aggravated possession of narcotics, and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime. Meanwhile, a judge imposed a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people related to the decision are five members of the National Police, second lieutenants Iv\u00e1n Leonardo G\u00f3ngora and \u00c9dinson Javier Garc\u00eda Mercado, and patrolmen Jes\u00fas Albeiro Boh\u00f3rquez Ar\u00e9valo, \u00d3scar Andr\u00e9s Torres Mosos and Carlos Alberto Novoa Morales; and private individuals Eduardo Barrera Jim\u00e9nez and Luis David Ustariz Hern\u00e1ndez.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The investigation revealed that the officers would be in charge of modifying the reports and using vehicles to divert the narcotics, and deliver them to third parties who stored them in buildings and coordinate their shipment to countries in Central America and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the process, several procedures were carried out in Maicao and Riohacha (La Guajira), in which 98 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 700 kilograms of marijuana, a firearm and electronic devices were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
