The Attorney General’s Office dealt a hard blow to the criminal group known as Los Poison, which would be involved in the local trafficking of marijuana and cocaine in the Jazm\u00edn and La Uni\u00f3n neighborhoods of Ibagu\u00e9 (Tolima).<\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI), in coordination with the National Army, arrested four of its alleged members during two home searches operations. They are Jos\u00e9 Alejandro Cort\u00e9s Ontib\u00f3n, alias Veneno, alleged leader of the criminal group; his mother Claudia Susana Ontib\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez, Melisa Franco Ch\u00e1vez and Jhon Jaider Barrios Lozano.<\/span><\/p>\n

These people were brought before a judge and were charged, according to their individual responsibilities, with conspiracy to commit crimes for the purposes of drug trafficking; trafficking, manufacture and possession of narcotics and illegal manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Claudia Susana Ontib\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez would be in charge of preparing doses, packaging and distributing the narcotics with Franco Chaves. For his part, Barrios Lozano, apparently, was the one who sold them, in addition to providing security to prevent the entry of other groups.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the proceedings, a 38 caliber revolver, cartridges of different calibers, cell phones and several doses of marijuana were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n
