Matoma Vargas pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A judge imposed a prison sentence on both defendants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, the victim arrived at his farm when he was surprised by hitmen who shot him from a motorcycle and immediately fled. The engineer&#8217;s belongings and cash were allegedly robbed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alias \u200b\u200bEl Loco was arrested on a public street in the La Gaviota neighborhood of Ibagu\u00e9, while Matoma Vargas was served with the court order in Las Heliconias prison in Florencia (Caquet\u00e1), where he remains detained for another case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
