He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, it was learned that the victim was intimidated by a group of people to pay an amount of money, in exchange for not attempting against his life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was determined that the first communication was in July 2022. A man allegedly came to his house and took him to a rural area of \u200b\u200bCondoto. In that place, armed people apparently demanded the payment of one million COP per month; in addition, he had to provide accommodation for some members of the organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In August 2022, they sent him a message again, where they asked him to close the gas station and in January 2023 they asked him for 30 million COP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evidence shows that Quinto Mosquera was in charge of finances and, together with S\u00e1nchez Moreno, they collected the resources from miners, transporters and merchants in Condoto, Novita, Medio San Juan and Itsmina. For his part, C\u00f3rdoba Rodr\u00edguez was the person in charge of collecting the extortions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
