Two men were <\/span>brought by The Attorney General’s Office before judges for their alleged responsibility in robberies that took place in different incidents in Popay\u00e1n (Cauca).<\/p>\n

In this sense, a prosecutor charged them with qualified and aggravated robbery. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges and were sent to prison.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the first case, Cristi\u00e1n Felipe Maca Astaiza, who allegedly participated in three motorcycle robberies that took place in the Nueva Jap\u00f3n, Santa In\u00e9s and Nuevo Amanecer neighborhoods in Popay\u00e1n, was prosecuted.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, between June 2023 and February of this year, the defendant allegedly intercepted the victims when they were riding their motorcycles which were robbed through threats with a knife.<\/span><\/p>\n

This person was arrested by the Technical Investigative Corps (Cuerpo T\u00e9cnico de Investigaci\u00f3n CTI) with the support of the National Police in Alfonso L\u00f3pez neighborhood in Cauca.<\/span><\/p>\n

In another incident, the Office of the Attorney General submitted evidence of the alleged participation of Miguel \u00c1ngel Bravo Cuevas, alias Caballo, in a robbery that occurred on October 11, 2023. The man allegedly approached a citizen who was riding his motorcycle and intimidated him with robbing his vehicle and his belongings.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the midst of the robbery, the victim was apparently injured in one hand and one leg.<\/span><\/p>\n
