{"id":43373,"date":"2024-12-03T14:49:11","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T19:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=43373"},"modified":"2024-12-04T10:03:19","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T15:03:19","slug":"alleged-members-of-a-criminal-group-involved-in-violent-robbery-in-valledupar-were-sent-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2024\/12\/03\/alleged-members-of-a-criminal-group-involved-in-violent-robbery-in-valledupar-were-sent-to-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged members of a criminal group involved in violent robbery in Valledupar were sent to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Attorney General&#8217;s Office prosecuted nine alleged members of the criminal group known as Los del Combo de Villa, who would be responsible for violent robberies in various sectors in Valledupar (Cesar).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For these facts, a local prosecutor charged them with aggravated qualified theft and personal injuries.\u00a0 They did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, between 2022 and 2024 they allegedly participated in at least six robberies in which firearms and sharp objects were used to rob victims\u2019 cash, cell phones and other valuable items.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of these facts took place on April 5, 2023 in the Villa Castro neighborhood in Valledupar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During home searches carried out in conjunction with the National Police, Jhon Frey Pacheco M\u00e1rquez, alias Popeye; Camilo Andr\u00e9s Guti\u00e9rrez, alias Pakita; Erwuin Luis Berm\u00fadez Ben\u00edtez, Camilo Andr\u00e9s Gait\u00e1n Carrillo, Luis David Orozco N\u00fa\u00f1ez, alias Manyoma;\u00a0 Yulian Said Restrepo Ospino, alias Yulian; Javier Enrique Montenegro Mej\u00eda, alias Pecas; Santiago Daniel Ariza Diaz, alias El Zurdo and Andr\u00e9s Javier Pert\u00faz P\u00e9rez, alias Gorila were arrested.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A judge imposed a prison sentence on eight of the defendants, while alias Popeye must serve house arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
