The Office of the Attorney General charged him with homicide. He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The facts took place on Avenida Col\u00f3n del archipelago, where the defendant, who was traveling on a motorcycle, apparently wounded a 40-year-old man with a sharp weapon, who was also driving a motorcycle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was demonstrated that the reason for the attack was that the victim, allegedly, threatened to kill the defendant&#8217;s son a few moments before. According to the investigation, these disputes date back to 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The injured man was assisted by passers-by in the area, but died when he was transferred to a health center due to the severity of his injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A day later, Mieles Ballestas turned himself in to the National Police, and he will be sent to Nueva Esperanza prison on the island at the request of the Office of the Attorney General.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
