A prosecutor appointed to the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Sectional Office in Tolima\u00a0 managed to prosecute eight alleged members of ‘The Monks’, who were charged with conspiracy to commit crimes and trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the home searches carried out by Sijin of the Metropolitan Police of Ibagu\u00e9, the arrests were carried out. A judge imposed a prison sentence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With this operation, the network which operated in La Chuquia, Santander neighborhood of the city had a hard blow.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, \u2018The Monks\u2019 allegedly sold doses of marijuana in the form of handmade cigarettes that were sold for 2,000 and 3,000 COP each.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the raids, 33 synthetic drug pills, several grams of cocaine base, two recipients with veterinary medicine (used for manufacturing synthetic substances), a digital scale, bags for packaging and more than 1,000,000 COP in cash were seized, apparently from illegal trade.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those people arrested are: Anyi Yuliana Arias Restrepo, Jes\u00fas Emilio Saavedra Medina, Juan David Montalvo, Juli\u00e1n Gerardo Delgado Henao, Diego Fernando Castillo Jim\u00e9nez, Brandon Stiven Jim\u00e9nez Gallo, Franklin Rodr\u00edguez Cano and Eduan Duvan Guti\u00e9rrez Yuaguar\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n
