The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office found that the alleged members of the illegal network seized valuable objects without the victims realizing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people who are involved are:Andr\u00e9s Guillermo Novoa Reyes, Patricia Garc\u00eda Bernal, Mar\u00eda Paola Gonz\u00e1lez Ram\u00edrez and Gustavo Ernesto Medina Casta\u00f1eda; who were arrested by the National Police in Bogot\u00e1 and the municipality of Itag\u00fc\u00ed (Antioquia). The defendants pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit a crime and qualified theft, both aggravated conducts<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These people would be linked to five criminal events that occurred between October 7, 2023, and October 23, 2024. They would be responsible for robbing objects exceeding 88 million COP worth that they took from commercial premises and health centers in the so-called <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comunas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 12 and 14 of Medell\u00edn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, carried out by a prosecutor appointed to<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Estructura de Apoyo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the alleged robbers entered the premises pretending to be clients or patients. They covered the areas according to roles that were previously established, and after identifying the valuables and distracting the security personnel and employees, they stole them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the facts took place on October 7, 2023, in the south area of Valle de Aburr\u00e1, where the alleged criminals asked the workers about their opening hours, took photographs of the shop window, and left. At noon, they returned while the premises were closed and broke into. There, they seized cell phones, computers and technological items valued at more than 46 million COP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office is investigating whether the defendants committed similar acts in Bogot\u00e1, Cali and Pereira.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
