This criminal group allegedly carried out criminal actions for the so-called ‘La Inmaculada’.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted the alleged members of Los Verdugos criminal gang, allegedly responsible for four selective homicides that took place in Tulu\u00e1 (Valle del Cauca).<\/span><\/p>\n

People involved are Carlos Mario Acu\u00f1a Arag\u00f3n, alias Kira; Diego Fernando Pe\u00f1aranda Mej\u00eda, alias Cumbamba; Karol Dahian Manzano Ram\u00edrez, alias Karol; and Brenda Carolina L\u00f3pez Gait\u00e1n, alias Brenda. These people were charged with aggravated homicide, aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and trafficking and possession of narcotics. They did not plead guilty.<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigation established that \u2018Los Verdugos\u2019 would be involved in the commission of selective murders that were ordered by the criminal structure \u2018La Inmaculada\u2019. Four of these crimes were committed between 2023 and 2024 in Tulu\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, they were allegedly in charge of controlling the drug distribution routes in La Roja, La Campi\u00f1a and La Casona neighborhoods of this municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants were arrested during home searches carried out in several properties in Tulu\u00e1. These actions were conducted by officers of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI), Sij\u00edn and units of the Special Operations Group (Grupo de Operaciones Especiales-Goes) of the National Police. During the operations, firearms, ammunition, cell phones, narcotics, scales and bags for packing marijuana cigarettes were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n

A judge imposed a prison sentence on ‘Kira’, ‘Cumbamba’ and ‘Karol’. For her part, ‘Brenda’ must serve house arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n
