The Attorney General’s Office continues dismantling organized crime in Valle del Cauca. At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, three alleged members of <\/span>Los Espartanos<\/span><\/i> who would disrupting public safety in Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca) were sent to prison.<\/span><\/p>\n

The people involved are: Cristi\u00e1n Fernando Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez Tenorio, alias Trasero; Carlos Alberto Grueso, alias Penta; and Marvin Torres Gamboa, alias Marvin, who were charged by a prosecutor of the so-called <\/span>Estructura de Apoyo EDA <\/span><\/i>with aggravated homicide, forced displacement, aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes; and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. None pleaded guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General established that the defendants participated in the murder of a man on May 25, 2023, in the Pampalinda neighborhood. On the day of the facts, several armed people entered the area where a confrontation took place, resulting in a homicide.<\/span><\/p>\n

This fact caused the forced displacement of several families, who abandoned their homes due to intimidation. The abandoned properties were occupied by the criminal structure to continue its illegal activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez and Grueso were arrested by officers of the National Navy and Sij\u00edn of the National Police when they were in Pueblo Nuevo and Sany\u00fa neighborhoods, while Torres Gamboa was served about an order against him at a prison in Buenaventura, where he is under custody for other crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants must serve a prison sentence by virtue of a judicial decision.<\/span><\/p>\n
