Four of the defendants belong to the same family.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted six alleged members of the criminal group ‘Los Bastantes’, a network involved in local drug trafficking in two neighborhoods of Jamund\u00ed (Valle del Cauca).<\/span><\/p>\n

The people involved are<\/span> Br\u00edgida Elida Cabezas Gonz\u00e1lez, Diana Vanesa Riascos Cabezas, Jes\u00fas David Gonz\u00e1lez Agredo, Jhony Andr\u00e9s Qui\u00f1\u00f3nez Valencia, Nelson Enrique Guti\u00e9rrez Mosquera y Breyner Stid Correa Mosquera who were charged with conspiracy to commit crimes and manufacture, trafficking and possession of narcotics.<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigation revealed that the criminal structure was integrated by an elderly woman, the alleged leader, her daughter, her son-in-law, two grandchildren and two friends. The defendants apparently controlled the distribution and commercialization routes for narcotics in Alamadina and El Rodeo sectors of the municipality of Jamund\u00ed, south area of Valle del Cauca.<\/span><\/p>\n

A human source testified that several members joined to sell marijuana and bazuco in the urban areas of the municipality, which increased the levels of insecurity due to thefts and drug consumption in public spaces such as parks and sport areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investigators from Sijin Police infiltrated the criminal gang for eight months, managing to identify each of its members, as well as the houses where the sale of narcotics took place in Alamadina and El Rodeo.<\/span><\/p>\n

In eight operations that were carried out by Sij\u00edn and the Special Operations Group (Grupo de Operaciones Especiales de Seguridad- Goes in Spanish) in Jamund\u00ed, the alleged members of ‘Los Bastantes’ were arrested. The criminal organization obtained up to 40 million COP monthly illicit income derived from the criminal activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges. The judge ordered a prison sentence against the five people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants were transferred to Jamund\u00ed prison.<\/span><\/p>\n
