They must remain in prison while the judicial process against them moves forward<\/span><\/p>\n

The evidence obtained by a prosecutor appointed to the Special Investigation Unit (Unidad Especial de Investigaci\u00f3n UEI) revealed the alleged participation of Carlos Alberto Ch\u00e1vez Hern\u00e1ndez, alias Gambia; and Mar\u00eda Valentina Osorio Naveros, alias Tina, in an armed attack in which five people died, and four more people were injured on April 7th in a bar in San Francisco, in Toro (Valle del Cauca).<\/span><\/p>\n

The two alleged members of the criminal group ‘Los Flacos’ were brought before a judge and were charged with aggravated homicide, attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit a crime; and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges and were sent to prison.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the course of the investigation, it was proven that alias Tina took advantage of her position as a waitress in the commercial establishment to alert about the presence of the victims and the exact moment in which the assassination was to be carried out. On the other hand, alias Gambia, was allegedly part of the group of men who entered the place and shot at those who were there.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the violent action, three people died in the place and two others in a medical center. Likewise, two women and two men were injured.<\/span><\/p>\n

The evidence in the Office of the Attorney General’s hands indicates that alias Tina allegedly gave false information to the authorities to divert the judicial police activities and protect the perpetrators of the collective homicide. In this sense, she was also charged with false testimony.<\/span><\/p>\n

The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
