The evidence provided by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge in Yopal (Casanare) to impose a prison sentence against Kiliam Yasmany Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez Su\u00e1rez, alias Killer, who would be part of an illegal armed group.<\/span><\/p>\n

The joint work between the Attorney General’s Office and the Police of Gaula showed that the defendant would be responsible for extorting businessmen and owners of farms, in addition to perpetrating terrorist attacks with explosives, as a way of pressuring the payment of high sums of money.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General charged Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez Su\u00e1rez with aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, terrorism, manufacture, trafficking and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use and for the exclusive use of the armed forces or explosives. He did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Information in the Office of the Attorney General’s hands determined that \u2018Killer\u2019 would be involved in the frustrated terrorist actions that took place last May 1st when several men allegedly placed loads of indugel at the entrance to the municipality of Hato Corozal (Casanare).<\/span><\/p>\n

The timely provided <\/span>information by citizens allowed to avoid the attack. This allegedly generated retaliation by the illegal armed group, which ordered an attack against a community leader, to intimidate businessmen and extort merchants under the treat of being the target of attacks.<\/p>\n

Coordinated actions between the Office of the Attorney General, the Police, the Army and the Colombian Air Force allowed the arrest of the defendants in the rural area of \u200b\u200bS\u00e1cama (Casanare), last October 17.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the judge imposed a prison sentence on \u2018Killer\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n
