{"id":42985,"date":"2024-09-27T11:14:54","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T16:14:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=42985"},"modified":"2024-09-27T16:09:53","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T21:09:53","slug":"seven-alleged-members-of-the-criminal-group-coordinadora-guerrillera-del-pacifico-were-prosecuted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2024\/09\/27\/seven-alleged-members-of-the-criminal-group-coordinadora-guerrillera-del-pacifico-were-prosecuted\/","title":{"rendered":"Seven alleged members of the criminal group &#8216;Coordinadora Guerrillera del Pac\u00edfico&#8217; were prosecuted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Santander brought seven alleged members of Front 12, Isa\u00edas Pardo of Segunda\u00a0 Marquetalia before a judge which is part of the so-called illegal group Coordinadora Guerrillera del Pac\u00edfico, responsible for extortions of farmers, merchants, growers and other people in the municipalities of Sabana de Torres and Barrancabermeja.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Gil \u00c1lvarez, Deibys Manuel Jim\u00e9nez Zambrano, Anner Elian D\u00edaz \u00c1lvarez, Jorge Eliecer Garro Cristancho, Sneider Yesid Figueroa G\u00f3mez, Luis Fernando Villegas Fern\u00e1ndez and Amed Enrique \u00c1lvarez Camelo, who were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, extortion, both aggravated, and manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The investigation showed that the defendants, since August 2023, were using videos, phone calls, billboards, pamphlets and personal visits to intimidate the victims, demanding payment of millionaire sums of money in exchange for allowing them to work and remain in the area. These actions generated several forced displacements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The prosecuted people were arrested by CTI officers of the Office of the Attorney General, the Police and the National Army during nine search warrants, in which firearms, cell phones and advertising referring to the criminal group were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A judge imposed a prison center on Gil \u00c1lvarez, Jim\u00e9nez Zambrano, D\u00edaz \u00c1lvarez, Garro Cristancho, Figueroa G\u00f3mez. For their part, Villegas Fern\u00e1ndez and \u00c1lvarez Camelo must serve noncustodial measures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
