The investigations carried out by the Attorney General’s Office allowed the prosecution of eight alleged members of the criminal network, ‘5 Estrellas’. Those people under investigation would be involved in local drug trafficking in Armenia (Quind\u00edo).<\/span><\/p>\n

They are Jair Antonio Aguirre Gallego, alias To\u00f1o; Elis\u00e1ngela Pacheco Fuentes, alias La Mona; Mauricio Cort\u00e9s Hern\u00e1ndez, alias Barbas; Aura Tatiana Cano Olaya, alias Tati; Claudia Patricia Cort\u00e9s Maldonado, alias Paty; Omar Mac\u00edas, alias El Santandereano; Gildardo Giraldo Ram\u00edrez, alias El Abuelo and Nikol Alejandra Guzm\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s, alias Niky.<\/span><\/p>\n

A prosecutor appointed to the Sectional Office in Quind\u00edo charged them with aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics; and illegal destination of personal property or real estate. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the defendants were involved in petty drug dealing since September 2023 in the urban perimeter of the main city of Quind\u00edo, especially in the central sector where they would be using different premises for sales.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The illegal organization apparently used commercial premises for the sale of second-hand clothing as a facade to disguise its criminal activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

The judge imposed a prison sentence on Aguirre Gallego, Pacheco Fuentes, Cort\u00e9s Hern\u00e1ndez, Cano Olaya, Cort\u00e9s Maldonado and Omar Mac\u00edas. Meanwhile, Giraldo Ram\u00edrez and\u00a0<\/span>house arrest for Guzm\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/span><\/p>\n
