The Attorney General’s Office charged six alleged members of the Euclides Arley P\u00e9rez G\u00f3ez substructure which commited crimes for the so-called ‘Clan del Golfo’ in Depression Momposina region, south of Bol\u00edvar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General charged the defendants, according to their individual responsibilities, with conspiracy to commit crimes for extortion purposes, homicide; trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics and; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms. They did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is believed that the suspects were engaged in extorting cattle ranchers, miners, farmers and merchants from the municipalities of Barranco de Loba, Hatillo de Loba, San Mart\u00edn de Loba, Mompox, Margarita and San Fernando (Bol\u00edvar) and El Banco (Magdalena).<\/span><\/p>\n

The criminal organization apparently intended to gain control of drug trafficking in these towns in order to receive the resources from this activity throughout the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eduardo Aguilar Hern\u00e1ndez, alias Junior; Jaider Vargas Mart\u00ednez and Yossi Alberto Zabaleta Alvarado, alias Tayson, must serve their sentence in the so-called Camilo Torres prison in Magangu\u00e9 (Bol\u00edvar).<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, Katerine Turizo Lobo, alias Fabiola; Dub\u00e1n Villarreal Rangel, alias Barriga Moncholo; and Fredi Antonio Garc\u00eda Barba, must serve house arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n
