{"id":42872,"date":"2024-09-12T16:21:57","date_gmt":"2024-09-12T21:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=42872"},"modified":"2024-09-13T11:36:04","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T16:36:04","slug":"25-alleged-members-of-a-criminal-network-that-commits-crimes-in-the-northwest-of-medellin-were-sent-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2024\/09\/12\/25-alleged-members-of-a-criminal-network-that-commits-crimes-in-the-northwest-of-medellin-were-sent-to-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"25 alleged members of a criminal network that commits crimes in the northwest of Medell\u00edn were sent to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the alleged members of the criminal network allegedly used rituals as a way to protect the members of the illegal organization.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the request of the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, a judge imposed 21 prison sentences and 4 house arrests against alleged members of <em>El Morro de Villa Flora<\/em><\/span>\u00a0criminal organization, responsible for multiple crimes in the main city of Antioquia.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people involved are: Rub\u00e9n Dar\u00edo Fl\u00f3rez Urrego, alias Carloto; alleged leader of the criminal network; his sentimental partner Nasly Viviana Carvajal D\u00edaz, alias Vivi; his son Darley Esteban Fl\u00f3rez Carvajal, alias Esteban; his sister-in-law Leidy Carolina Echavarr\u00eda D\u00edaz, alias Caro and his mother-in-law Luz Dary Hern\u00e1ndez, alias Do\u00f1a Luz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, this illegal group operated in Castilla and Robledo neighborhoods located in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comuna<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 5 and 7 of Medell\u00edn, selling narcotics and extorting merchants. As a result of these illegal activities, this criminal organization obtained around 120 million COP daily.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The evidence allowed the Office of the Attorney General to bring charges against the defendants, according to their individual responsibilities, such as aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes; trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms for personal use and for the armed forces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information, in the Office of the Attorney General&#8217;s hands, links Andr\u00e9s Felipe Moreno Valderrama, alias Bruja, as the possible coordinator of the actions. Apparently, the latter performed alleged rituals to protect members of the illegal organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another of the defendants is David Piedrahita \u00c1lvarez, alias Piedra, who together with Moreno Valderrama would be involved in the forced disappearance of a man known with the alias Mapache, and whose whereabouts are unknown since November 24, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">25 arrests were conducted by members of the Technical Investigation Corp (CTI) and National Police, during 33 search warrants. In these procedures, marijuana and cocaine ; suppliers, cartridges of different calibers and 124 million pesos in cash were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
