The war material would belong to a criminal structure who operates in the so-called Bajo Cauca in Antioquia.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed preventive detention orders against five people arrested in Barbosa (Antioquia). These actions were achieved in a search warrant in which a 5.56 caliber rifle, 3 9-millimeter caliber pistols and more than 1,300 cartridges for short and long range weapons were seized.<\/span><\/p>\n

People involved are:\u00a0 Andr\u00e9s Felipe Pineda, alias Lans, and Juan Carlos Lozano who were sent to prison for manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms for the exclusive use of the armed forces and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms for personal defense, both aggravated.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the same decision and for the same offenses, Natalia Le\u00f3n Carabal\u00ed, Rebeca Gonz\u00e1lez Montoya and Dahiana Hoyos Salazar were ordered to serve house arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants were arrested by the National Police during a search warrant carried out in a property located in Popalito parceling, municipality of Barbosa, north area of Valle de Aburr\u00e1. According to the investigation, the war material would belong to the criminal group Los del Bajo, a criminal structure that has an armed confrontation in Bajo Cauca with members of the Clan del Golfo for the territorial control that facilitates drug trafficking and extortions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The judge ordered the seizure of three high end motorcycles that were immobilized during the search warrants.<\/span><\/p>\n

None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges and the defense appealed in the second instance the prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n
