The defendant would be the second leader of the armed structure that commits crimes in Valle del Cauca and Cauca.<\/span><\/p>\n

The evidence provided by a prosecutor from the so-called D<\/span>irecci\u00f3n Especializada Contra las Organizaciones Criminales -DECOC) <\/span><\/i>(Specialized Directorate Against Criminal Organizations) was enough for the judge to send Diego Armando Riascos Angulo, alias Tura, alleged second leader of the Manuel Cepeda Vargas urban structure and member of the Jaime Mart\u00ednez Front, which commits crimes in Valle del Cauca, to prison.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the man would be responsible for several attacks against the public force. One of them was allegedly carried out at the so-called Pichincha military base, on April 4. According to information, \u2018Tura\u2019 allegedly coordinated a car bomb attack in Cali, in addition to supporting the resurgence of the Manuel Cepeda Vargas urban front.<\/span><\/p>\n

Information at the Office of the Attorney General’s disposition revealed that Riascos Angulo would be responsible for recruiting young people in Cali to hand them over to the dissidents in Naya region.<\/span><\/p>\n

The suspect was arrested during search warrants carried out in Santander de Quilichao (Valle del Cauca) pursuant to a court order.<\/span><\/p>\n

lba Libia Esquivel, alias Camila was also arrested in the operation and was charged with illegal use of uniforms and insignia. This person was sent to prison.<\/span><\/p>\n

A judge approved the arguments made by the Office of the Attorney General concerning the charge of terrorism brought against \u2018Tura\u2019 and imposed a prison sentence.<\/span><\/p>\n
