They allegedly exercised the territorial control through the use of firearms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The people involved are: Karen Viviana Mej\u00eda Cruz, Cristian Bernardo Leiva Mu\u00f1oz, Kevin Daniel Ortiz Gonz\u00e1lez, Esquid Gonzalo Ortiz G\u00f3mez,\u00a0 Fabi\u00e1n Andr\u00e9s Roa Urquijo, \u00a0 Paola Andrea Roa Urquijo, \u00a0 Magola Andrea Gavilanes Calpa, \u00a0 Brayan Steven Cagua Gonz\u00e1lez, Leidy Juanita Daza Ram\u00edrez, Ingrid Nataly Cruz S\u00e1nchez, Nicol\u00e1s Dar\u00edo Parra L\u00f3pez, Daniel Steven Varela Sarmiento, Nelson Fernando Pe\u00f1a Pe\u00f1a and Camilo Andr\u00e9s Leiva Mu\u00f1oz who would fulfill a specific role within the organization from guard, known as \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">campanero<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019, to distributor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the investigation, the defendants allegedly sold illegal substances on public roads where clients of all ages came.\u00a0 In Moniquir\u00e1, they allegedly murdered a citizen who allegedly refused to pay the criminal organization some money he owed it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A prosecutor belonging to the so-called <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Estructura de Apoyo- EDA <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(Support Office) charged them with homicide, conspiracy to commit a crime; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and; trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotic substances, all aggravated. The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A judge imposed a prison sentence on 13 of the defendants, and house arrest on the another one. In the latter case, it was a pregnant woman.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
