In an offensive carried out against theft offenses in San Andr\u00e9s, the Attorney General’s Office prosecuted four men who, in different proceedings, would be involved in said crime.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a first investigation, a judge imposed a preventive detention measure against Marlon G\u00f3mez Romero and Gemark Barker Brant who, apparently, intimidated the owners of an exchange house with firearms and sharp weapons. During the incident, they seized 33 million COP, also 4,100 dollars, a wallet, a gold chain and credit cards. The facts took place on May 26, 2024 in a shopping mall in the archipelago.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendants\u2019 arrest was carried out by the National Police and took place in the so-called El Cliff neighborhood. A third party involved, who is deprived of liberty due to another process, will also be summoned for indictment.<\/span><\/p>\n

In another case, Luis Fern\u00e1ndez Castilla and Blahider Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Valencia were also sent to prison. They were arrested in flagrante delicto near the Erwin O’Neill soccer stadium in San Andr\u00e9s.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, on July 16, 2024, the defendants broke into a house and a commercial establishment located on <\/span>Avenida 20 de Julio<\/span><\/i> where it is believed they stole some belongings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendants, according to their individual liabilities, with qualified and aggravated theft and manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearm. They did not plead guilty to the charges.<\/span><\/p>\n
