The defendant allegedly participated, along with alias Porcelana or Satan, in the murder of several people that were buried in mass graves in Silvania sector in Gigante (Huila).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

A\u00a0 judge imposed a prison sentence on Carlos Alberto Casta\u00f1o Rueda, alias Andr\u00e9s, allegedly responsible for the crimes of aggravated homicide, forced displacement; trafficking, manufacture or possession of narcotics and; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, in Huila.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the incident for which Casta\u00f1o Rueda was prosecuted occurred in Silvania, rural area of \u200b\u200bGigante (Huila). ‘Andr\u00e9s’, who would be part of the criminal group Los Satan, under the command of Janer Iv\u00e1n Morales Poveda, alias Porcelana or Satan, would be the alleged perpetrator of several homicides committed in this department.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the victims, there are alleged drug users and workers of coffee growing farms who were forced to join their criminal group in order to take control of the region. If they refused to join the group, they would be murdered, dismembered and buried in mass graves in wooded areas of that municipality.<\/span><\/p>\n

The work carried out by the Technical Investigative Corps (Cuerpo T\u00e9cnico de Investigaci\u00f3n CTI) with the support of the National Police, led to the arrest of Casta\u00f1o Rueda on a public road in Gigante (Huila).<\/span><\/p>\n

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges brought by a specialized prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Huila.<\/span><\/p>\n
