{"id":42360,"date":"2024-07-05T07:15:38","date_gmt":"2024-07-05T12:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=42360"},"modified":"2024-07-05T10:01:18","modified_gmt":"2024-07-05T15:01:18","slug":"alias-salomon-alleged-top-leader-of-the-criminal-group-tren-de-aragua-in-bogota-was-sent-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2024\/07\/05\/alias-salomon-alleged-top-leader-of-the-criminal-group-tren-de-aragua-in-bogota-was-sent-to-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Alias \u200b\u200bSalom\u00f3n, alleged top leader of the criminal group &#8216;Tren de Aragua&#8217; in Bogot\u00e1, was sent to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He would be the coordinator of selective homicides, the collection of extortions and other criminal behaviors in the south, southwest, downtown the city and Soacha (Cundinamarca).<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the request of the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Salom\u00f3n Fern\u00e1ndez Torres, alias Salom\u00f3n, alleged ringleader of the so-called &#8216;Tren de Aragua&#8217; criminal group.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investigations led by a prosecutor from the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations showed that in 2018, this person moved from Venezuela to Bogot\u00e1, and settled in the southwest of the city to take control of petty drug dealing and the collection of extortions from merchants, transporters and inhabitants of areas such as Bosa and Kennedy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then he took over as head of the criminal structure in Bogot\u00e1 and Soacha (Cundinamarca) under the command of H\u00e9ctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, alias Ni\u00f1o Guerrero, one of the alleged founders of the so-called &#8216;Tren de Aragua&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He allegedly ordered selective homicides and forced displacements, and expanded the presence of the illegal group in Ciudad Bol\u00edvar, Rafael Uribe Uribe and Chapinero. The evidence shows that he would be responsible for two crimes that took place on April 22, 2024, in Patio Bonito neighborhood that are related to a violent dispute with other criminal networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alias \u200b\u200bSalom\u00f3n was arrested thanks to a joint work with the National Police and Immigration in Aguazul (Casanare). The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office charged him with homicide, aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime, and manufacturing, trafficking and possession of drugs.
