The defendants allegedly participated in crimes that occurred between May 2023 and May 2024.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted 16 people who were involved in homicides and attempted homicides that occurred in Cali and Palmira (Valle del Cauca). The defendants would be responsible for 14 actions in which 10 citizens died and 6 were seriously injured. 13 of the victims were attacked with firearms and 3 with a sharp weapon.<\/p>\n

The facts investigated by the Technical Investigative Corp (CTI) and Sij\u00edn-\u00a0 National Police occurred in comunas<\/em> 4, 11, 14, 18 and 20 in Cali; between May 2023 and May 2024. Another case occurred in Palmira (Valle del Cauca). Eight of the deceased were defenseless and three of the victims died during thefts and acts of intolerance.<\/p>\n

One of the cases occurred on May 9 in Lleras Camargo neighborhood when Carlos Andr\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez \u00c1ngel, , attacked his uncle with a firearm during an argument and died as a result of the attack.<\/p>\n

In another fact that took place in Palmira, Keny Santiago Roa, Jonathan Eduardo Tama\u00f1o Murillo, alias Guasca, were deprived of their liberty; Duv\u00e1n Felipe Mej\u00eda Roa and Jean Carlos Echeverry Roa, alias Pesta\u00f1as. These people would be involved in facts that occurred on January 21 in the La Orlidia neighborhood of said municipality. There, a man who was sharing with friends and family was murdered. A 9-year-old minor was injured.<\/p>\n

Judges accepted the request made by the Prosecutor’s Office and imposed prison sentences against 16 people.<\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/em><\/p>\n
