The defendant appeared before the authorities in the last few hours to be prosecuted for these events.<\/em><\/p>\n

At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Sebasti\u00e1n Tovar Rodr\u00edguez, as allegedly responsible for participating in the murder of doctor Marino Augusto Jim\u00e9nez Arroyave, 57 years old.<\/p>\n

The facts took place on September 9, 2023 in the municipality of Turbo (Antioquia). The victim corpse was found gagged with signs of violence in the pool of the building where he lived. According to the Institute of Legal Medicine the doctor died due to strangulation.<\/p>\n

The investigation ordered by the Prosecutor’s Office made it possible to establish that those allegedly responsible for his death had also stolen three watches, two cell phones and a gold chain from his home, among other items.<\/p>\n

Tovar Rodr\u00edguez appeared before the authorities and during the preliminary hearings he did not plead guilty to the charges brought by a prosecutor belonging to the Sectional Office in Antioquia for the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated robbery.<\/p>\n

Due to these same facts, Yirlinson David Palacio Ram\u00edrez, 18, who was arrested in February of this year, is already in prison.<\/p>\n

The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/em><\/p>\n
