The former mayor of Medell\u00edn, Luis P\u00e9rez Guti\u00e9rrez, appears as the owner of four of the properties<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the request of the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, the Superior Court of Bogot\u00e1 imposed precautionary actions for assets seizure purposes on six rural properties related to Vicente Casta\u00f1o Gil<\/p>\n<p>The properties are located in Rionegro and El Retiro (Antioquia), and are part of a land valued at nearly 74 billion pesos, known as Torrealta.<\/p>\n<p>These precautionary measures are considered to be the ones with the largest amount of assets in the history of the implementation of the Justice and Peace process.<\/p>\n<p>In the investigation, the Directorate of Transitional Justice\u00b4s prosecutors established that the former mayor of Medell\u00edn, Luis P\u00e9rez Guti\u00e9rrez, appears as the owner, among other people, of four of these properties in their respective registration.<\/p>\n<p>One of the assets was denounced by the \u2018postulado\u2019* for the Justice and Peace Law, Rodrigo Alberto Zapata Sierra, alias Ricardo, who stated that the land was related to Vicente Casta\u00f1o, after the collection of a debt between drug traffickers Gustavo Tapias Ospina, alias Techo; and \u00c9dgar Marroqu\u00edn, alias Marroco.<\/p>\n<p>After accepting the arguments presented by the Office of the Attorney General, the Court ordered the seizure and suspension of power to alienate a property\u00a0 which will be delivered to the so-called Fondo para la Reparaci\u00f3n a las V\u00edctimas.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/p>\n<p>When we speak, results follow.<\/p>\n<p>The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out the criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
