At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence against Andr\u00e9s Felipe Zapata Castrill\u00f3n, as he was allegedly responsible for the escape of prisoners.<\/p>\n
Zapata Castrill\u00f3n, who was serving a sentence for the alleged sexual abuse of 12 women in the main city of Antioquia, escaped from the hospital known as La Mar\u00eda in Medell\u00edn on April 9, when he was taken for medical assistance due to a wound in his left hand.<\/p>\n
The defendant allegedly asked for permission to go to the bathroom and took advantage of the situation to escape through the emergency room of the care center. The fact was recorded on local cameras.<\/p>\n
The fugitive was arrested this Saturday, April 30, by National Police officers in the neighborhood Popular of Medell\u00edn when he was attacked by the community. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges brought by a prosecutor of the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI).<\/p>\n
