{"id":40361,"date":"2021-12-09T13:09:20","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T18:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=40361"},"modified":"2021-12-09T19:44:57","modified_gmt":"2021-12-10T00:44:57","slug":"five-alleged-members-of-the-heroes-del-caribe-substructure-belonging-to-the-so-called-clan-del-golfo-were-brought-to-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2021\/12\/09\/five-alleged-members-of-the-heroes-del-caribe-substructure-belonging-to-the-so-called-clan-del-golfo-were-brought-to-justice\/","title":{"rendered":"Five alleged members of the H\u00e9roes del Caribe substructure belonging to the so-called \u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019, were brought to justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>With these arrests, at least nine cases of homicides committed \u00a0in the city during 2020 have been clarified<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Based on the evidence presented by a specialized prosecutor in Cartagena, the 1st Bacrim judge issued a prison sentence against five alleged members of H\u00e9roes el Caribe substructure belonging to the &#8216;Clan del Golfo&#8217; for the manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms; conspiracy to commit a crime; aggravated homicide; trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs; and use of false document.<\/p>\n<p>By virtue of a court order, Iv\u00e1n Dar\u00edo de \u00c1vila Arrieta, (24 years old), alias Coco; Juan Camilo Torres Hern\u00e1ndez, (30 years old), alias Chocolate; and Alberto Luj\u00e1n M\u00e1rmol, alias Tico were arrested. According to the investigation, they coordinated\u00a0 and committed homicides in Cartagena.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Carlos Mario Morales Ospina, (30 years old), alias Jos\u00e9; and Reynaldo Jos\u00e9 Tarra Nieto, (27 years old), alias Morocho, were arrested \u00a0in flagrante delicto.<\/p>\n<p>The procedures were carried by the National Police in neighborhoods Albornoz, El Poz\u00f3n, and in a residential complex in Cartagena (Bol\u00edvar).<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the proceedings, five cell phones, two pistols, two suppliers, twenty-three cartridges, two silencers, and two cars valued at $ 60 million and $ 15 million were seized.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Office of the Attorney General, this organized armed group would be at the service of\u00a0 \u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019 that operates in neighborhoods: Fredonia, Olaya Herrera, El Poz\u00f3n, Nelson Mandela and Santa Rosa de Lima Norte, in Cartagena. They committed homicides against people from other criminal groups involved in drug trafficking in order to have territorial control. They allegedly committed killings by an order or against members of their own organization for violating internal orders.<\/p>\n<p>With these arrests, the clarification of at least nine homicides that occurred during 2020, was achieved.<\/p>\n<p>When we speak, results follow.<\/p>\n<p><em>The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out the criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
