{"id":40328,"date":"2021-11-23T07:12:04","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T12:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=40328"},"modified":"2021-11-25T00:49:46","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T05:49:46","slug":"13-people-accused-of-belonging-to-the-organization-los-compas-involved-in-the-transport-and-sale-of-large-quantities-of-narcotics-in-bogota-and-cundinamarca-were-brought-to-justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2021\/11\/23\/13-people-accused-of-belonging-to-the-organization-los-compas-involved-in-the-transport-and-sale-of-large-quantities-of-narcotics-in-bogota-and-cundinamarca-were-brought-to-justice\/","title":{"rendered":"13 people accused of belonging to the organization Los Compas involved in the transport and sale of  large quantities of narcotics in Bogot\u00e1 and Cundinamarca were brought to justice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Those arrested people were apparently involved in the transport of narcotics from the departments of Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Huila to later be distributed in different localities of the main city of the country and some municipalities of Cundinamarca.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General\u00b4s Office prosecuted 13 people, alleged members of the criminal group \u2018Los Compas\u2019, which was involved in the transportation of narcotics from the departments of Cauca, Valle del Cauca, and Huila to Bogot\u00e1 where it was later distributed.<\/p>\n<p>It was established that the drugs were allegedly sold in the municipalities of Soacha, Funza, Zipaquir\u00e1, Gachancip\u00e1, and Tocancip\u00e1 in Cundinamarca.<\/p>\n<p>According to the investigation carried out by a prosecutor from the unit &#8211; <em>Unidad de Estructura de Apoyo,-<\/em> with the support of the Judicial Police of the Unit &#8211; <em>Unidad B\u00e1sica de Investigaci\u00f3n Criminal (Ubic) Dipro Mebog<\/em> &#8211; this criminal group apparently used trailer trucks to hide the substances that were camouflaged among legal cargo to evade National Police controls.<\/p>\n<p>Alias \u200b\u200bCaquete\u00f1o, Cucho or Jhon, who, apparently, served as the leader of the criminal structure, was allegedly in charge of managing, directing, and coordinating the transport of drugs from the Department of Cauca, Cali (Valle del Cauca) to different towns of the main city of the country.<\/p>\n<p>It was possible to establish that, presumably, this organization coordinated the shipment of narcotics to countries such as Mexico, Canada, France, among others.<\/p>\n<p>In an operation carried out in the morning of November 12, 2021, arrest warrants were carried out: Jhon Edison Jim\u00e9nez Lozada, alias Caquete\u00f1o, Cucho or Jhon; Marleny Calder\u00f3n Pe\u00f1a, alias Marleny; Nini Yulieth Barrera Giraldo, alias Nini; F\u00e9lix Arturo Mej\u00eda Zamora, alias F\u00e9lix or Negro; Carlos Eduardo Cervera Garz\u00f3n, alias Carlos; Ferney Bahos Guaca, alias Indio; Jos\u00e9 Arbey Giraldo Correa, alias Paisa; Dora Lilia Suarez, alias Dora and Cruz Enelia Melo, alias Vicky.<\/p>\n<p>However, during the investigation, John Jairo Sarmiento Acero, alias J; Juli\u00e1n Andrey Quintero Romero, alias Andrey; Yhon Alexander Ram\u00edrez Castilla, alias Taxistas and Javier Alonso Lozada, alias Gafas were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>One of the home searches was carried out in a commercial establishment located in the Santa Fe neighborhood, which was administered by alias Paisa.<\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General\u00b4s \u00a0Office charged the defendants with conspiracy to commit a crime; trafficking, manufacture or possession of drugs and manufacture, trafficking, \u00a0or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>Judges issued prison sentences against these thirteen people.<\/p>\n<p>In a first operation that was carried out in October 2020, prison sentences were issued against another 25 people belonging to this criminal organization, which was known at the time as \u2018Mai Mai\u2019. The Attorney General\u00b4s Office prosecuted them for the commercialization of narcotics in Kennedy. They were also prosecuted for the crimes of environmental damage, extortion, kidnapping, and invasion of land.<\/p>\n<p>When we speak, results follow.<\/p>\n<p><em>The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out the criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
