{"id":39996,"date":"2021-06-24T14:57:09","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T19:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=39996"},"modified":"2021-06-25T14:22:58","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T19:22:58","slug":"the-attorney-general-announced-the-results-obtained-in-the-fight-against-delinquency-and-organized-crime-in-choco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2021\/06\/24\/the-attorney-general-announced-the-results-obtained-in-the-fight-against-delinquency-and-organized-crime-in-choco\/","title":{"rendered":"The Attorney General announced the results obtained in the fight against delinquency and organized crime in Choc\u00f3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>As part of the plan \u2018Quibd\u00f3 30 dias\u2019, 66 alleged members of illegal organizations such as Los Mexicanos, El Clan del Golfo, Los Locos del Yam and Los Palme\u00f1os, among others, have been arrested and prosecuted.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, in the company of his executive staff, traveled to Quibd\u00f3 (Choc\u00f3) to verify the results of the actions carried out in the fight against organized crime and delinquency, as part of the so-called \u00b4Plan Quibd\u00f3 30 dias\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the Attorney General&#8217;s Office there are no forbidden places in the country and there are no places in the territory in which our attention is not focused. Choc\u00f3 concerns the Attorney General&#8217;s Office and we continue to act within the framework of our missionary functions to provide justice and security to the citizens of this department\u201d, stated the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to this strategy, 66 people have been arrested and brought before judges for crimes such as: homicide, kidnapping, extortion and use of minors, among others. 39 defendants would be members of the illegal structure Los Mexicanos, 7 of Clan del Golfo, 7 of Los Palme\u00f1os, 6 of Los Locos del Yam, 6 of Los Rapados and 1 of Los de Kennedy.<\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General\u00b4s Office, its CTI judicial police and with the support of National Police,\u00a0 carried out 25 home searches, in which 22 revolvers, 3 rifles of different caliber, 6 pistols, 3 communication radios, 32 bars of explosives, 9 cell phones and 536 ammunition were seized.<\/p>\n<p>The following are some of the results obtained in the so-called \u2018Quibd\u00f3 30 d\u00edas\u2019:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>A hard blow against \u2018Los Mexicanos\u2019<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Enrique Alfonso Hurtado alias Siete or Macho Viejo, the alleged leader of the criminal group \u2018Los Mexicanos\u2019, which committed crimes in 26 neighborhoods of Quibd\u00f3, was brought before justice. This person is the alleged responsible for extortions against money order companies. Some of these were attacked with firearms to put pressure and to obtain money.<\/p>\n<p>Alias \u200b\u200bSiete was sent to prison for the crime of aggravated extortion.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Members of \u2018Los Rapados\u2019 were arrested<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Due to their alleged responsibility in the crimes of aggravated kidnapping for ransom and the use of minors for the commission of crimes, five people who were part of the criminal group \u2018Los Rapados\u2019 were sent to prison.<\/p>\n<p>According to the evidence, these people participated in the kidnapping of an employee of a meat processing plant in Antioquia. They allegedly made an appointment with the victim for the alleged purchase of equipment. During the false negotiation, several men allegedly held the victim prisoner and later, they demanded money for his release.<\/p>\n<p>Among the people who were brought before the justice is Natalio Andr\u00e9s Chaverra Moreno, alias Natalio, alleged leader of the criminal organization.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Members of \u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019 were sent to prison<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Three alleged members of \u00a0\u2018Clan del Golfo\u2019 were sent to prison. They were the alleged responsible for the murder of a patrolman of the National Police who was on vacation in Quibd\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Geisson Renter\u00eda Lagarejo, alias Ratica; Levinson Yair Renter\u00eda Lagarejo, alias Comanche; and Edinson Stiward C\u00f3rdoba Ibarguen, alias Pep\u00f3n were charged with aggravated homicide due to these facts that took place on April 20 of the current year.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, two other men known as alias El Paisa and Asprilla, who are linked to the Clan del Golfo\u2019s substructure known as \u2018Carretera\u2019, were prosecuted for the crimes of aggravated homicide and conspiracy to commit a crime.<\/p>\n<p>When we speak, results follow<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the plan \u2018Quibd\u00f3 30 dias\u2019, 66 alleged members of illegal organizations such as Los Mexicanos, El Clan del Golfo, Los Locos del Yam and Los Palme\u00f1os, among others, have been arrested and prosecuted.
