{"id":39994,"date":"2021-06-24T10:07:03","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T15:07:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=39994"},"modified":"2021-06-24T21:51:06","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T02:51:06","slug":"the-woman-who-perpetrated-the-murder-of-the-political-leader-campo-elias-galindo-was-sent-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2021\/06\/24\/the-woman-who-perpetrated-the-murder-of-the-political-leader-campo-elias-galindo-was-sent-to-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"The woman who perpetrated the murder of the political leader Campo El\u00edas Galindo was sent to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After analyzing the evidence collected by the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, the 11th Circuit Court of Medell\u00edn (Antioquia) approved the preliminary agreement and sentenced Lina Marcela P\u00e9rez \u00c1lvarez to 16 years and 8 months in prison, as the perpetrator of the murder of the political leader Campo El\u00edas Galindo \u00c1lvarez, a member of the <em>Colombia Humana<\/em> political party.<\/p>\n<p>The decision derives from facts that took place on September 28, 2020 in neighborhood La Am\u00e9rica, in Antioquia, in which Galindo \u00c1lvarez was murdered in his own apartment.<\/p>\n<p>The corpse of the victim was found at the scene and, according to medical examiners of\u00a0 <em>Medicina Legal<\/em>, he had a trauma in the chest that was caused by a knife.<\/p>\n<p>Due to this fact, the defendant remains deprived of her liberty in a prison since November 10, 2020 since in a joint operation between the Office of the Attorney General and members of the Dij\u00edn and Sij\u00edn arrested her in Medell\u00edn (Antioquia).<\/p>\n<p>This result was achieved within the framework of the strategy to clarify the murders committed against human rights defenders and social leaders.
