{"id":39584,"date":"2021-01-15T06:52:11","date_gmt":"2021-01-15T11:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=39584"},"modified":"2021-01-18T08:51:04","modified_gmt":"2021-01-18T13:51:04","slug":"alleged-responsible-for-the-death-of-a-former-farc-member-in-meta-in-process-of-reincorporation-was-sent-to-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2021\/01\/15\/alleged-responsible-for-the-death-of-a-former-farc-member-in-meta-in-process-of-reincorporation-was-sent-to-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged responsible for the death of a former Farc member in Meta in process of reincorporation was sent to prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In compliance with the strategy to clarify the acts committed against people in process of reincorporation defined by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, the Special Investigation Unit (Unidad Especial de Investigaci\u00f3n UEI) obtained a prison sentence against Yhon Edison Sarmiento Reyes, alias Yhon Negro, as alleged responsible for the death of Jos\u00e9 Alfredo Garc\u00eda Guti\u00e9rrez, a former Farc member in process of reincorporation which took place on July 15, 2019 in rural area Salitre de La Uribe (Meta).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The arrested person Yhon Edison Sarmiento Reyes was an alleged member of the residual armed group E-40.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">By virtue of a court order, UEI investigators, in an inter-institutional work with\u00a0\u00a0members of two Army battalions arrested Sarmiento Reyes in rural area of Papamene, La Uribe, on January 7<sup>th<\/sup>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General charged alias Yhon Negro with aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit a crime, and aggravated manufacturing, trafficking, possession of weapons, accessories, parts or ammunition. The defendant did not plead guilty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">When we speak, results follow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span lang=\"en-US\">The information contained in this press release corresponds to the narration of the objective news provided by the officials in charge of carrying out the criminal investigations within the Office of the Attorney General.
