{"id":39510,"date":"2020-11-25T09:05:10","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T14:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=39510"},"modified":"2020-11-26T06:54:20","modified_gmt":"2020-11-26T11:54:20","slug":"women-are-a-priority-for-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-and-this-office-is-with-us-deputy-attorney-general-martha-mancera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/11\/25\/women-are-a-priority-for-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-and-this-office-is-with-us-deputy-attorney-general-martha-mancera\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Women are a priority for the Office of the Attorney General and this Office is with us&#8221;: Deputy Attorney General, Martha Mancera"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><em><strong><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General is working on a digital strategy that is based on an initiative promoted by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa, so that the entity does not restrict itself to receive complaints and investigate, but to develop a synergy in prevention matters.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In commemoration of the International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women, the Office of the Attorney General launches the campaing \u2018<i>No se atreva\u2019\u00a0<\/i>(Don\u00b4t dare)<i>.\u00a0<\/i>A prevention strategy that aims to expand the channels to assist women who are victims of any type of aggression and to strengthen the investigation tools about behaviors that threaten them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">\u201cThe Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, and I have strengthened the prioritization policy on investigations related to crimes that affect women due to their condition, guaranteeing them the protection of their rights and especially to prevent femicides by identifying risks and activating the assistance channels\u201d, emphasized the Deputy Attorney General Martha Janeth Mancera.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General considered as a priority, in the Strategic Direction 2020-2024, the fight against gender-based violence. In this sense, in the last 9 months the institution has achieved 94% of progress in the clarification of femicides in the country, and in 16 Departments the average reached 100%.
