{"id":39474,"date":"2020-11-11T10:32:14","date_gmt":"2020-11-11T15:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=39474"},"modified":"2020-11-11T13:16:29","modified_gmt":"2020-11-11T18:16:29","slug":"in-record-time-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-clarified-the-crimes-of-five-leaders-of-colombia-humana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/11\/11\/in-record-time-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-clarified-the-crimes-of-five-leaders-of-colombia-humana\/","title":{"rendered":"In record time, the Office of the Attorney General clarified the crimes of five leaders of Colombia Humana"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">The last case that yielded results is that of Campo El\u00edas Galindo, in which a woman was arrested on November 10 in Medell\u00edn for being the alleged perpetrator of the murder.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"en-US\">Thanks to the investigation and criminalistics advanced techniques as well as the creation of elite teams, the Office of the Attorney General identified and prosecuted those people allegedly responsible for the facts.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">As a result of the strategy of investigation and prosecution for damages against human rights defenders, developed under the guidelines drawn up by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, the Special Investigation Unit (Unidad Especial de Investigaci\u00f3n (UEI)) achieved conclusive results in the clarification of homicides of leaders of the political movement\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Colombia Humana<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0that were perpetrated this year.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The recent case that was clarified is that of the leader Campo El\u00edas Galindo, which was committed on September 28 in Laureles neighborhood in Medell\u00edn (Antioquia) and according to the investigations and first hypotheses, it would be a crime of passion.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Due to these events, in less than a month and a half, Dij\u00edn Elite Corps &#8211; Sij\u00edn Meval under the coordination of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">UEI,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">carried out this November 10<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><sup>th<\/sup><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0the so-called\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Renacer\u00a0<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">operation, in which the arrest warrant issued by the Third Municipal Court with supervisory funcionts* in Antioquia against the alleged female perpetrator of the murder of Galindo was carried out.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">During a search warrant proceeding at the defendants\u2019 property (woman), a computer and a cell phone that had been stolen from the victim were found; as well as clothes and shoes that will be analyzed by Legal Medicine.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The evidence collected allowed to identify the woman. Criminal charges will be brought against the woman and a detention measure for the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated theft will be requested by the Office of the Attorney General<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><u><span lang=\"en-US\">Other cases of Colombia Humana\u00b4s activists\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Thanks to the creation of elite teams and through the implementation of advanced investigation and criminology techniques, the Office of the Attorney General identified, and prosecuted people involved in the murder of:<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><i>Alejandro Llin\u00e1s\u00a0<\/i><\/b><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">On April 23, 2020, Alejandro Llin\u00e1s, a human rights defender and activists of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Colombia Humana<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, was assassinated with a firearm in the rural area Calabazo in Santa Marta (Magdalena).<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">For this case, Ad\u00e1n Romero P\u00e9rez, alias el Grande or Chuky, was arrested and prosecuted. He was an alleged member of the criminal structure\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Autodefensas Unidas Conquistadores de la Sierra Nevada<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, derived from\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Los Pachenca<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">. Another person who also charged and remains in prison.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><i>Jhonatan Borja and\u00a0\u00a0Iv\u00e1n Giraldo F\u00faquene\u00a0\u00a0<\/i><\/b><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">On January 30, 2020, Borja P\u00e9rez and Iv\u00e1n Giraldo F\u00faquene, political leaders in the municipality of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Candelaria<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0were assassinated with a firearm in neighborhood\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Betania de Comfandi<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0in Palmira (Valle).<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In this case, the Special Investigation Unit linked the alleged perpetrators and minds of the facts.
