Direction\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">defined by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, has focused on\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">cases of attacks and damages to social leaders and the dismantling of criminal structures that affect public safety in the territories.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In this regard, the Special Investigation Unit achieved the prosecution of Julio Andr\u00e9s Rivera Jim\u00e9nez, alias Panqueque or Campanita, an alleged member of the clan denominated as\u00a0<i>Clan del Golfo<\/i> that operates in the north area of the Department of Antioquia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Third Municipal Court with supervisory functions* in Antioquia approved the accusation made by the Office of the Attorney General against Rivera Jim\u00e9nez for the offenses of aggravated murder, aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime, and manufacture, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The prosecution of alias Panqueque is conducted in the framework of the investigation aimed at solving the killings of human rights defenders Hugo Albeiro George P\u00e9rez and Dimar Egidio Zapata George, members of the organization\u00a0<i>R\u00edos Vivos<\/i>, which took place on May 2, 2018 in rura area of Puerto Valdivia, in the municipality of Valdivia (Antioquia). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Moreover, in this case, a minor was arrested and an arrest warrant was issued against the alleged perpetrator of the crime, identified as Mario Alberto Julio, alias Pepe, alleged leader of the criminal organization\u00a0<i>Clan del Golfo<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">*<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0In this case this court also has an additional function which is called in Spanish \u201cambulante\u201d which means a judge\/court who travels or moves throughout places\/cities when needed.<\/span><span
