years in prison for the murder of the two community leaders.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Third Municipal Court with supervisory functions in Antioquia* approved the request made by the Office of the Attorney General and imposed a prison sentence\u00a0\u00a0against Weimar Alex\u00e1nder D\u00edaz Henao, alias Barbas or Tornillo, the allegedly responsible for the murder of two human rights defenders that took place on September 6, 2019 in Santa Fe de Antioquia (Antioquia).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">A prosecutor from the Special Investigation Unit proved that alias Barbas, an alleged member of the western front of the self-defense forces of Colombia (frente Occidente de la Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia ) or Clan del Golfo, was involved in the murder of Wilder El\u00edas Godoy Restrepo and Le\u00f3n Humberto Alcaraz Godoy, former president and former vice president, respectively of the Community Action Board in the rural settlement La Milagrosa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General presented enough evidence that allowed the court to bring charges for the crimes of aggravated murder, aggravated criminal conspiracy and manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The prosecution of D\u00edaz Henao is in addition to the guilty verdict that the Fourth Criminal Court of the Special Circuit Court in Antioquia returned for the same events against Jaber Antonio Osorio Arias, alias Alexis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">This investigation was developed within the framework of the project that seeks to clarify the damages against human rights defenders and people in process of reincorporation in Antioquia, as established by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">*<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0In this case this court also has an additional function which is called in Spanish \u201cambulante\u201d which means a judge\/court who travels or moves throughout places\/cities when needed.<\/span><span
