These actions allowed to arrest 53 people who allegedly threatened the physical integrity, freedom and sexual formation of minors and who would be part of their own families.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In a joint work between the Delegate Director on Public Safety of the Office of the Attorney General and the National Police, through the Directorate of Protection and Special Services, 121 alleged offenders that threatened the physical integrity, freedom and sexual formation of minors between 3 and 14 years of age were brought before justice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The offensive was carried out in compliance with the Strategic Direction defined by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Among the people arrested, there are women and men between the ages of 18 and 84. The proceedings were carried by virtue of a court order. These cases correspond to prioritized cases that were reported in 2020.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The investigative work carried out by the judicial police allowed to arrest 53 people who allegedly threatened the sexual integrity of minors and teenagers that would be part of their own immediate family.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Also, other 68 sexual offenders who, in some cases, took advantage of their closeness to the victims&#8217; families to commit the crimes were prosecuted. Among this group, there is a priest, a teacher, the sentimental partner of a victim, and 16 neighbors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In 47 cases, people involved were charged with sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age.\u00a0\u00a0In 41 cases, people involved were charged with abusive sexual assault with a minor under 14 years of age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In another 23 cases, people involved were charged with violent sexual assault. 3 for sexual exploitation, and the same number of cases for pornography with a minor of 18 years of age. Two people that were prosecuted must face criminal charges for sexual act with a person unable to consent and; in another case, a mother was charged as she allegedly induced into prostitution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">This operation was carried out in 32 departments and in the main cities of the country. Cali and Medell\u00edn had the largest number of arrests (14 arrests each city). Antioquia had 12 arrests; Santander, Risaralda and Bogot\u00e1 had 7, each.
