She was an ELN demobilized member and<\/span>\u00a0alleged member of the residual group \u2018Jaime Mart\u00ednez\u2019, with whom she allegedly planned the crime.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In an operation that was carried\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">in accordance with the strategic guidelines drawn up by the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado,\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Edier Montenegro Mu\u00f1oz was arrested.\u00a0<\/span>He is allegedly responsible for the murder of six people which took place on August 21 in the rural area of Ortega in a small town named Uribe in the municipality of El Tambo (Cauca).<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Members of the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) with the support of the Army and the National Police carried out the arrest. The defendant is accused of being the person who allegedly took the victims out of their permanent and work environments the day of the facts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The operation was carried out in a public road in La Esmeralda neighborhood in Popay\u00e1n (Cauca), the place where alias \u2018Maritza\u2019 was arrested; the first person arrested for these facts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Montenegro was brought before a Special Prosecutor appointed to the Branch Office in Cauca who will bring him before a supervisory judge for the preliminary hearings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General will charge the defendant with aggravated criminal conspiracy, murder, aggravated kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and forced displacement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General makes this information public for reasons of general interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the same facts, Maritza Serna Bicoche, alias \u2018Maritza\u2019 was arrested.
