At the time, these charges\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">were brought by the Office of the Attorney General.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The defendant who was in charge of the storage of the illegal substances was part of the criminal organization\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Los Ib\u00e9ricos<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">, also known as\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>La Linea de la Muerte.<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">This organization that was involved in the distribution of narcotic substances would also be responsible for committing several murders due to territorial control or settling accounts in Circasia (Quind\u00edo).<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Since the defendant plead guilty to the abovementioned criminal charges, her participation as author was reduced to accomplice and must serve a prison term of 129 months and pay a fine of 1,400\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">monthly minimum wages.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The sentence became final and alternative sentences were not granted.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Prosecutor&#8217;s Office makes this information public for reasons of general interest.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On July 24, the Criminal Court of the Special Circuit of Armenia (Quind\u00edo) sentenced Jessica Tatiana Arias Ruiz in a virtual hearing for the commission of aggravated criminal conspiracy, illegal possession of firearms, torture, and attempted murder.
