{"id":38990,"date":"2020-07-24T09:45:20","date_gmt":"2020-07-24T14:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38990"},"modified":"2020-07-27T17:32:11","modified_gmt":"2020-07-27T22:32:11","slug":"former-mayor-and-former-secretary-of-social-development-desarrollo-social-y-gobierno-in-san-jose-caldas-were-arrested-for-irregular-contracting-on-school-meals-program-programa-de-alimentacion-es","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/07\/24\/former-mayor-and-former-secretary-of-social-development-desarrollo-social-y-gobierno-in-san-jose-caldas-were-arrested-for-irregular-contracting-on-school-meals-program-programa-de-alimentacion-es\/","title":{"rendered":"Former mayor and former Secretary of Social Development (Desarrollo Social y Gobierno) in San Jos\u00e9 (Caldas) were arrested for irregular contracting on school meals program (Programa de Alimentaci\u00f3n Escolar -PAE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span lang=\"en-US\">On\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">July 23, Alfonso Montes Correa was arrested by CTI and Sij\u00edn officials in order to serve a sentence.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">After accepting the evidence collected by the Attorney General&#8217;s Office, the Circuit Court of Anserma (Caldas) sentenced H\u00e9ctor Alfonso Montes Correa, former municipal mayor of San Jos\u00e9; and Cristian Camilo Gallego Ortiz, former Secretary of Social\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"es\">Development and Government (Desarrollo Social y Gobierno ) of the same municipality, to 64 months in prison and were also ordered to pay a fine of 66.6<\/span><span lang=\"es\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">legal monthly minimum wages<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0for the offense of execution of a\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">contract without compliance with legal requirements.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The facts that were investigated by the Branch Office in Caldas took place on November 8, 2014, when agreement No. 005-2014\u00a0 for $ 11,919,333 was signed between the Municipality and\u00a0<\/span><i><span lang=\"es\">Uni\u00f3n Temporal ABC Nutricional de Caldas<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"es\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">despite the fact that this entity had been previously created to carry out the tender in the Department of Caldas and not to execute the agreement in the municipal administration of San Jos\u00e9.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Montes Correa, in his capacity as mayor and legal representative of the municipality signed the aforementioned agreement, whose \u2018objective\u2019 was to comply with the\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">school meals program (Programa de Alimentaci\u00f3n Escolar -PAE), by\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">joining efforts to guarantee the nutrition of children and teenagers in the municipality of San Jos\u00e9.
