{"id":38974,"date":"2020-07-21T10:07:28","date_gmt":"2020-07-21T15:07:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38974"},"modified":"2020-07-27T16:50:11","modified_gmt":"2020-07-27T21:50:11","slug":"prison-sentence-for-alias-hernan-an-alleged-leader-of-a-residual-group-in-the-southwestern-area-of-the-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/07\/21\/prison-sentence-for-alias-hernan-an-alleged-leader-of-a-residual-group-in-the-southwestern-area-of-the-country\/","title":{"rendered":"Prison sentence for alias Hern\u00e1n, an alleged leader of a residual group in the southwestern area of the country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Office of the Attorney General achieved the prosecution of Jhonny Prado Castillo, alias Hern\u00e1n, leader of the Residual Organized Armed Group (Grupo Armado Organizado Residual -Gaor) Estiven Gonz\u00e1lez, which commits crimes in the southwestern part of the country.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In a hearing* held before a supervisory judge in Cali, a prosecutor appointed to the Special Office against Criminal Organizations charged alias Hern\u00e1n with aggravated criminal\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">conspiracy to commit the aggravated criminal conspiracy; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and trafficking, manufacture or possession of firearms, ammunition for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces or explosives.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The defendant did not plead guilty and must serve a prison sentence.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The evidence shows that the residual group\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Estiven Gonz\u00e1lez<\/i><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0would be responsible for extorting\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">illegal merchants, transporters, and miners in the municipalities of Policarpa, Leiva, Iscuand\u00e9, Cumbitara, Roberto Pay\u00e1n and Mag\u00fc\u00ed Pay\u00e1n (Nari\u00f1o).
