{"id":38968,"date":"2020-07-18T13:54:27","date_gmt":"2020-07-18T18:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/?p=38968"},"modified":"2020-07-23T09:11:45","modified_gmt":"2020-07-23T14:11:45","slug":"more-than-40-people-were-prosecuted-in-an-offensive-carried-out-by-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-against-criminal-structures-in-turbo-and-rionegro-antioquia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiscalia.gov.co\/colombia\/en\/2020\/07\/18\/more-than-40-people-were-prosecuted-in-an-offensive-carried-out-by-the-office-of-the-attorney-general-against-criminal-structures-in-turbo-and-rionegro-antioquia\/","title":{"rendered":"More than 40 people were prosecuted in an offensive carried out by the Office of the Attorney General against criminal structures in Turbo and Rionegro (Antioquia)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">In compliance with the policy implemented by the Attorney General of providing \u00a0access to \u00a0justice \u00a0in \u00a0territories, the Branch Office in\u00a0\u00a0Antioquia, through the Technical Investigative Corps, with the support of\u00a0\u00a0Sij\u00edn- National Police and the Army, dismantled three criminal structures that operate in the region of Urab\u00e1 and the eastern area of Antioquia and arrested and prosecute 42 of its members.<\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The first operation was carried out in the municipality of Turbo (Antioquia) in which 14 alleged members of 2 gangs known as\u00a0<i>Los Batman<\/i>\u00a0and Los Pamperos that committed different kinds of theft in that port of Urab\u00e1\u00a0were arrested by virtue of a court order. Another 7 alleged members of the aforementioned gangs were notified in the prisons where they serve a prison term for other processes about the investigations carried out against them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span>25 crime reports, most of them for crimes against economic heritage were associated to achieve the arrests and prosecutions.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0<\/span>The 21 defendants were charged with criminal conspiracy aimed at committing theft, aggravated robbery, aggravated murder, drug trafficking, personal injuries, extortion, criminal restraint and prison escape.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The second inter-institutional operation was carried out in the municipality of Rionegro (Antioquia) in which 21 people, allegedly linked to the\u00a0criminal organization Los Pamplona that was\u00a0\u00a0involved in drug trafficking in at least 15 neighborhoods and sectors of the aforementioned population were arrested by virtue of a\u00a0\u00a0judicial order.
